Your business has an obligation to correctly dispose of waste, but it doesn’t have to be at a high cost to you.

There is a wide range of commercial waste bins to choose from to suit your business, as well as commercial recycling bins. The more you can recycle, the lower the cost to your business as waste going to landfill is more expensive.

Your Trade Waste Obligations

As a business you have a legal obligation to organise your own commercial waste removal and recycling.

If you carry out illegal dumping or even if your waste carrier company does this with your waste, Liverpool council can issue a £300 fine or take you to court with a maximum fine of £5,000.

This is why it is important to choose a reputable commercial waste disposal company to ensure your waste is dealt with appropriately.

Every business must complete a duty of care form to give their trade waste company permission to dispose of their waste. This is supplied by Central Waste for free and once it is completed, your company can get on with your business while we carry out ours.

How to Dispose of Commercial Waste

Businesses can dispose of their waste themselves, but you need to apply for a waste carriers’ licence which is an added expense. Along with the cost of transporting your waste and training staff to do this, it can be costly. Which is why businesses choose a contractor to dispose of their commercial waste for them.

What’s Classed as Commercial Waste?

Commercial waste is any waste which is produced by your business. Only certain types of waste can be collected in trade wheelie bins, but our service also offers one off business clearances and skip hire for larger items.

What Can You Put in Trade Waste Bins?

There are five types of waste that can be placed in trade waste bins.

Up to 95% of our waste goes to recycling which means reduced costs for your business because it is more expensive to send waste to landfill than it is to recycle it.

Our food waste is recycled locally to make gas which supports our local economy and reduces costs for you.

By using a paper and cardboard bin instead of sending it to landfill, you save money because cardboard doesn’t have a landfill tax.

For our glass recycling, we can collect glass bottles and glass products which can save you an average of 10 to 15%.

All our bins have four castors with brake control making it easy to wheel. We also supply a locked bin range which can ensure no one else uses your bin.

Do you Supply Commercial Recycling Bins?

It is best to try to reduce your general waste which will save you money and is better for the environment. With more consumers choosing sustainable companies, it is important to show that your business is responsible with their waste.

Along with general waste bins, you can choose:

  • Food only bins
  • Cardboard only bins
  • Dry mixed recycling bins
  • Glass only bins.

Some of these bins are only available in 240 litres but collections can be as frequently as needed.

What Bins do I Need?

If you are an established business, carry out an audit to see what types of waste you have.

If you are a new business, you can always start with a smaller size of bin and we offer the flexibility to change this at any time and change your collection frequency at any time too.

We carry out a site survey which will help you decide which bins are best for your business.

How Much are Trade Waste Bins?

We tailor the price of trade waste collections to suit your business. By doing this, you only pay for what you need and when you need it.

The cost varies depending on the type of bin you need and the frequency of your collections.

We have a price promise that offers competitive pricing, and we always try to offer better value than our competitors in the Liverpool area.
